Pink Noise

Whether you have a doctor’s office, open office plans where cubicle walls do not reach the ceiling, or other commercial spaces, Streamline Systems is offering a solution for those who desire conversational privacy.  Pink Noise.  We are able to give you a distributed sound system using pink noise in sufficient levels to mask low level background noise and other’s conversations.

The definition of pink noise is: “Random noise having equal energy within each octave of the audio spectrum. The level decreases at a rate of 3 dB per octave. Used for testing and equalization of sound systems.”

Basically, if you would like to be able to focus on the phone conversation you are having with a very important client without the disturbance of your neighboring colleague’s conversation, this is a great solution for you.

We are highly skilled at determining the correct set up for your office depending on the ceiling height and type, noise already in the room, the distance between employees, etc. We will also make sure to balance out the sound so that there is an even distribution to everyone in the work space. You can have precise control over the amount of pink noise by having a volume control for each speaker emitting the noise. If you have a drop ceiling, you won’t even see the speakers at all. The noise change will also happen gradually so the use of the pink noise will be hardly detectable.

The ultimate goal is to achieve a noise level where two people can have a normal conversation 1-3 feet apart, but from one cubicle to another a conversation would be unintelligible.
