Have you ever gone into a conference room and been blinded by the light streaming in through the windows? Or, maybe the business has blinds, but the room can still be uncomfortable due to lighting or heating issues. I have noticed these problems, and I have found a solution.
Streamline Systems will now be offering MechoSystems automated blinds called ElectroShades. This allows you to adjust the settings for how much light you prefer to come into the room. You can pick from a variety of fabrics (250 fabric choices) to either cut down on glare and also the amount of heat that is allowed to pass through. Choose from custom-fabricated blackout shadebands of opaque all-vinyl and vinyl-and-fiberglass laminated materials to have partial or complete blackout capabilities.
These ElectroShades can give you long term savings as well. SolarTrac is a window management system that is programmable for optimizing energy savings. The system maximizes the amount of daylight and views to the outside. It also protects occupants from glare, brightness, and the uncomfortable effects of solar heat. This is not only environmentally friendly, but this reduces the need for air conditioning and artificial light. Not to get to techie, but when we install this we put three roof-mounted radiometers to monitor sky conditions in real time. Then MechoSystems describes the process further saying, “SolarTrac utilizes proprietary algorithms, which analyze raw solar-sensor data to determine the sky condition—clear or cloudy. When cloudy, the shades are raised. When clear, the shade position is adjusted according to the sun’s angle in the sky.” The SolarTrac system is a huge value as it provides a comfortable environment for you and your clients, long term savings, and is environmentally friendly as well.
Ease of use is key. I am a huge fan of controlling systems with only one remote and this is no exception. You can integrate your automated blinds with your audio video system. So if you turned your projector on and the screen comes down for you to give a presentation, your blinds would also adjust to your preferred setting. I am excited to start offering this product.
